Health prescription for gestational hypertension syndrome

This condition is a pregnancy-specific disease, characterized by hypertension, edema, and proteinuria occurring after 20 weeks of gestation, which can seriously threaten the lives of both mother and baby. Precautions after admission: 1. Pay attention to rest, maintaining more than 8-10 hours of sleep daily, primarily in a left-side lying position. Intermittent oxygen inhalation can supply oxygen to the fetus, which is beneficial for fetal growth. 2. Maintain a good mental state and a quiet ward. To ensure better rest, reduce family visits; if necessary, we will arrange a dimly lit room for you or provide an eye mask to prevent sound and light stimulation. 3. Consume foods high in protein, vitamins, and containing iron, calcium, and zinc (such as fish, meat, and eggs).

This condition is a pregnancy-specific disease, characterized by hypertension, edema, and proteinuria occurring after 20 weeks of gestation, which can seriously threaten the lives of both mother and baby. Precautions after admission:

1. Pay attention to rest, maintaining more than 8-10 hours of sleep each day, primarily in a left lateral position. Intermittent oxygen inhalation can supply oxygen to the fetus, which is beneficial for fetal growth.

2. Maintain a good mindset and keep the ward quiet. To ensure better rest for you, we will reduce family visits, and if necessary, we will arrange a dimly lit room or provide an eye mask to prevent sound and light stimulation.

3. Consume foods high in protein, vitamins, iron, calcium, and zinc (such as fish, meat, eggs, vegetables, etc.), avoid overly salty foods to prevent worsening edema.

4. Count fetal movements three times a day as required. Self-monitoring of the fetal condition can help detect any signs of fetal hypoxia in a timely manner. We will also regularly monitor fetal heart sounds and perform computerized fetal monitoring.

5. The doctor will monitor your blood pressure and may prescribe oral antihypertensive and sedative medications (such as nitroglycerin, diazepam) based on your condition. Depending on the situation, you will need to record your 24-hour intake and output, where intake refers to all food consumed daily, and output refers to urine and stool volume. For example: intake (rice 100g, water 200ml); output (urine 200ml, one stool).

6. Depending on the condition, magnesium sulfate may sometimes be administered intravenously. Magnesium sulfate is a spasmolytic and antihypertensive drug. During intravenous infusion, please do not adjust the drip rate on your own. If you notice a significant decrease in urine output or difficulty breathing, you should promptly inform the medical staff. Some individuals may experience slight headaches and a feeling of warmth throughout the body as a reaction to the medication; slowing the drip rate can alleviate these discomforts.

7. If you experience dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, poor sleep, abdominal pain, or other discomforts, you should promptly notify the medical staff to avoid adverse consequences.
